The group kRé was founded more than 10 years ago in Caracas, Venezuela, where it flourished by developing a vocabulary that used elements of jazz-rock, afro-latin music and experimental post-rock.

Rubén D’Hers (guitar, effects), Raúl Monsalve (bass, afro Venezuelan percussion) and José Miguel “Chemi” Gutiérrez (keyboards), from the original line-up, settled in Germany, France and Spain, respectively.
